    New arrivals at Cawston
Norwich based Cawston Band are delighted to announce the newest member of its fan club.

Flugel player Catherine Peck and her husband Mark (Eb Bass) are now the proud parents of a baby boy.

Nathaniel Rai Peck came into the world at 5:30 am on Tuesday 11th November, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz.

With Catherine & Mark being such long-serving and dedicated members of the band, Nathaniel will no doubt be a regular visitor to rehearsals and concerts!

Other recent arrivals, playing members this time are Alan Smith (trombone), Terry Pegg (trombone), Richard Wilson (cornet) and Katie Wilson (cornet). These signings further strengthen the band for 2009 as they look to progress in the 1st section.

Please pass on my best wishes and congratulations to the proud parents old mate.
You going to be the godfather?:eek:

  4. Congratulations to Catherine and Mark,
Don't forget to start him young , the reason babies make so much noise is to develop lovely big lungs to play brass instruments.

People always hint at small children learning to play brass intruments. I'm rather hoping Soprano Trumpet will do something a bit more worthwhile with his life!

Congratulations to proud parents from a Cawston wannabe!

Having spoken to Catherine last night she reports that little Nathaniel whines an awful lot, for no particular reason. Must be in training to be a bass player.....

Well if he was really quiet and could not be heard he would be the perfect candidate for baritone!

Not just yet Geoff, we don't have any spare one's for him to play! ;)
