Could you take a Musical Lead in a Brass Band with Big Ideas?

The City of Birmingham Brass Band is looking for a dynamic new Musical Director to support their passion for concerts with a twist; as well as their continued development as a band.

A key requirement is adaptability – More at home on the stage than in competition, the band is looking for someone who can support one and develop the other; someone who is able to work on the fundamentals of brass playing alongside the finer points of musicality and performance – Is this you?

Fun loving and responsive, the band enjoys classic banding (currently 3rd section) as well as creating and delivering a range of exciting, different events such as our popular ‘Last Night of the Proms’ concerts, and a fledgling partnership with the One Handed Musical Instrument Trust, a charity providing accessible instruments and tuition for children and adults with disabilities.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, contact Amy Shapiro on 07745 405056 or email for more information, or to apply with a CV and cover letter.
