The highly successful Music is for Everyone (MUSE) Festival has released initial details of its 2007 festival.
Following the unprecedented success of the inaugural festival held in Singapore in 2006, MUSE 2007 will take place from 6 to 8 April, 2007.
The main aim of the festival is to attract young brass and wind bands from around the world to meet in the cultural hub of Singapore for music, fun and friendship and already musicians from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Norway and Africa have expressed an interest in attending.
In a glamorous move, the venue for the 2007 festival will be the 100-year-old building and home of Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Victoria Concert Hall.
The schedule for the event incorporates workshops with members of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, conductor’s workshops, presentations from judges and musical experts, educational exchanges, concerts, social events and the main competition day. Once again the event will be opened and closed with glamorous ceremonies that wowed the audience in 2006.
Festival organizers are hoping that following the success of the inaugural festival, more bands will attend the 2007 event and anyone interested can log on to the festival’s new website to see photos of the 2006 event and source information on the next festival.
