Sad news to report this week with the death of Mr Alaric Knight.

Alaric, from Near Penistone, was very well known to many bandsman and pro brass players as a true craftsman who took immense pride with his mouthpiece replating service.

It was always a pleasure to visit his house to drop in a mouthpice for plating and share a cup of tea with Him and his wife Betty.

A more genuine Gentleman you could not meet, he will be sadly missed

    Very sad news indeed.

Alaric took great pride in his work, all my mouthpieces over many years were refurbished to perfection.

Great man, Great couple and a pretty good cup of tea.

    Will be dearly missed.

I've had a few mouthpieces refurbished by him as well. Always a pleasure to deal with him.

A sad loss, and someone who will be greatly missed by so many.

Very sad news indeed. Alaric was a true gentleman as well as being THE mouthpiece plating expert.

He will be sadly missed by all of his friends in the brass band movement.

Its ironic I was was just thinking about him a couple of weeks ago as I had a mouthpiece I would have liked re-plating .

He did a fantastic job on a couple of mine a few years ago , and as said earlier he really was a true gent .

A very sad loss indeed .
