Very specific rules here - DP or I will let you know if you have made a valid musical move.

    I'll start.

Like the Germanic association, especailly, but no.

    At last!

    Another afficionado!

Softly as in a Morning Sunrise.

(Bearing in mind Burn's Night has just passed, Scottish variations are likely...)

It's a slightly more sturctured version of Mornington Crescent! Only using the pieces in the Fulham Brass Ramblers repertoire.

Hence the original comment that only DP and I would kno if an answer was correct. It's very obscure, and I'm doing it for a bet. :-D

I'm ashamed to admit it, but that goes for me too. I think it must be a cultural thing.

Probably something to do with the Watford Gap ;)

    Rules of the game...

OK, just to make it a BIT easier...

Legitimate pieces are as follows (DP might be able to add to them - his memory is boccer than mine)

    Weinfest am Rhien (1)

    Wooden Heart (19)

    Tie a Yellow Ribbon (20)

Softly as in a Morning Sunrise (70)

    White Rose of Athens (3)

    Happy Wanderer (27)

In Munchen Stat (99 or 141)

    Eton Boat Song (261)

    The Entertainer (92)

    12th Street Rag (??)

    Spartacus (??)

    Hey, Look me over (97)

    Cavalcade of Martial Songs (216)

    Embraceable you (262)

Someone to watch over me (261)

    Chinese Laundry Blues (216)

    Scotland the Brave (62)

    Tea for Two (29)

    Teddy Bear's Picnic (34)

Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines (96)

    Hallo, Dolly (155)

Numbers in brackets are the pad numbers. Consecutive numbers must not exceed 400...

Be careful when moving TO White Rose of Athens - it has to be an early move in the game or will invoke "Brown's Blocking Move" ("I'm not playing it now! My lips knackered!") Scotland the Brave can be invoked at any time within 14 days of Burn's Night, and The dance ending of Embraceable you can be done if the nutty old woman is in her "dance with me, Boneman" mood.

There are many more obscure rules, and you must watch for Jim plays his joker and comes in a bar early. The Ramblers have to jump a bar as well...

It's been a long week and my brain is frazzled. But I have won a bet...

Based on the above I would definately put it down to the Watford Gap !!!!
