Forgive my intrusion into the world of brass...

Morley & District Concert Band, now in its tenth year, are looking for players. We require any brass or woodwind players at all.

We are a small group who rehearse on a Thursday between 7pm and 9pm at Drighlington Primary School during term times only. Drighlington is located off J27 of the M62 between Leeds and Bradford with good access from most locations via the M62 and major A roads.

We had a quiet 2007/2008 due to changes in conductor and people moving on but we are now ready to expand.

Our band is made up of a small group of musicians who mainly play for the social side of being in a group - we do perform the occasional concert, though we don't have a major programme. We are an ideal group for those of you who have played in the past but had a break from your instrument and to those youngsters among you who are still learning – we have no illusions of grandeur whatsoever! Our ages range from 10-50+ and all are welcome.
