Although I didn't actually see it (I was ironing my shirts at the time..:p ) I heard that he is retiring soon, and tonight's weather bulletin was his last at 7:00pm. There were no warnings of impending hurricanes but then again back in '97.....
  5. ........but how did your shirts turn out???

oh noooo.... actually, maybe they can get Channel 5 Weathergirl in to replace him! :D

The best weather was on the old cable channel 7 in 1998. The weather girl was a very informed Norwegian in a bikini. On her day off, it was a midget on a trampette, bouncing up and down to point to the map. ooooo those were the days

Ermmm.... wasn't the hurricane in '87?!
... cos I was living in Essex and was 4 at the time. I slept through it while my brother and parents were down in the sitting room shuddering; and then the power went.... I missed it all! I just remember going outside the next day seeing trees lying across the road n stuff...

Or did Mr Fish make this mistake more than once? ;) :-D

I was cruel and didn't switch the TV on especially to watch his last broadcast... which was actually at about 10.30pm (I was talking to my bro on msn at the time and he was watching it)....

There was talk of having one of the other weather men to do impressions of him for a period so that we could be let down from his presence gradually...but that would have been a whole different Kettley of Fish. :-D
