This is the new CD from MSB with mostly new (to me anyway) pieces; three from Martin Cordner - Temple Visions and Lord of Sea and Sky plus the title track. An excellent new work from Robert Redhead called Christ-Hymn. There's a new cornet solo from Kevin Norbury called Flourish for the New Born Babe which sounds to me like a trumpet solo in style. Neil Roper is the soloist. Another piece of note is an arrangement featuring piano and band called Touching the Wave by Richard Squibb, a quite different arrangement featuring O Boundless Salvation. Other items are Everlasting Swingin' Arms (Bill Broughton - now apparently living in Australia); Worthy Is the Lamb (Roger Trigg); Heart Beat (Len Ballantine); a vocal arrangement of His Eye Is On the Sparrow; A Gaelic Blessing and Dance of the Tumblers arr. Brian Bowen, from Kaleidoscope.

This recording, engineered by Ted Marshall from Toronto, shows the MSB to be in good form with an interesting list of music, mainly in a contemporary style.
