    Can't say I'm surprised. In my humble opinion, from who I've heard to date, it's either Murphy or Adolph Herseth for 'greatest orchestral trumpeter'.

    I understand that the London Symphony Orchestra had a strict retire at 65 policy but had to make an exception for Maurice Murphy. Apparently, the LSO continue to get a lot of film work but some film companies stipulate that Maurice must be playing!
