Is the enjoyment of these limited to the British and Aussies? I've yet to meet any Americans, who tend to prefer sweeter foods, that can stomach them. Maybe you have to be fed it from childhood to really like it. I remember years ago stopping occasionally at the corner shop to buy an Oxo cube (original flavour) for a halfpenny to savour while walking home from infant school. Quite a treat, as is Marmite these days!
