Is the enjoyment of these limited to the British and Aussies? I've yet to meet any Americans, who tend to prefer sweeter foods, that can stomach them. Maybe you have to be fed it from childhood to really like it. I remember years ago stopping occasionally at the corner shop to buy an Oxo cube (original flavour) for a halfpenny to savour while walking home from infant school. Quite a treat, as is Marmite these days!

    I love all 3! :D

But then I'm British, so I'm pretty much keeping to type.

Can you actually buy marmite in America?

When we spent a couple of months over there we couldn't find any. While we were there, Steve had to go over to Sweden to meet up with some chaps from work and had someone get him a jar to bring back with him.

We have a shop nearby that sells British products -- and rents out kilts. But things like Marmite are pricey, so I sometimes get a big jar when in England.

Marmite is the best. How can anyone live without it. Get into Trouble for putting too much on toast though :)

For some reason I can't stand Marmite but really like Vegemite, although they're more or less the same thing! I first tried Vegemite when my auntie brought some over from Australia and it took me ages to find it in this country!

I love Marmite. Cheese on toast with Marmite, mmm mmm.
My dear old grandad used to call me the Marmite Queen when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. (And if anyone says I am still knee-high to a grasshopper I will bite their ankles).
