    Hi all,

On September 30, 2017, American arranger Mark Freeh passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Mark was a prolific arranger, and I’m sure many of you have played some of his charts at one time or another. Twenty six years ago, Mark founded Imperial Brass, an band based here in NJ. He played bass trombone in the band, wrote a ton of arrangements for us, and was the heart and soul behind everything we’ve done.

Here is a write up from 4barsrest:

    Death of Mark Freeh

For anyone who knew Mark, there will be a Memorial Service this Saturday, October 7. The band will begin by playing a prelude at 9:30 AM (EST), with the service starting at 10:00 AM (EST). We will be live streaming the whole thing on the Imperial Brass Facebook page.

    Thank you all,
    Tim Murphy
    Eb Bass
    Imperial Brass
