    New Appointments for NICHE
The Nationwide Independent College of Higher Education (NICHE) has appointed two well-known figures from the brass movement to lead its Faculty of Music and Performance.
Simon Kerwin and Tabby Clegg have accepted professorial chairs within NICHE and will become the new Head of Faculty and Director of Creative Development respectively.
“NICHE is a new and exciting concept in education and our Faculty of Music and Performance is being developed to deliver musical education world-wide from cradle to grave with pre-school, primary and secondary education as well as our BTEC, Foundation Diploma and degree courses in music,” explained Tabby.
She continued: “NICHE will supply some of the most comprehensive and diverse Foundation Diplomas and degrees, including our Foundation Diploma in Band Studies. We also have an excellent Centre of Music and Performance in Mexborough and look forward to organising a great range of masterclasses, workshops and musical events.”
Simon added: “This is a very exciting opportunity for Tabby and myself to design and deliver first-class accessible music education programmes and create a pathway to shape the future of the music industry. Through our Diploma and Degree programmes our aim is to educate our students to achieve our goal of 100% employability in the music industry.”
