Bought a second hand Maestro (mint condition) few months back. Above intonation has proved difficult. Been playing front row since Christmas so I thought it was just my need to build stamina and embouchure.
However, a deputy from a much better band said he found Maestro awful for the same reason and recommended Xeno instead.
Have other player has similar experiences? Do I need to practice more or should I be saving up?

I'm playing on a maestro at present and I really like it and I did play on the Xeno a few weeks back and I liked that one to. I personally don't feel there is a marked difference between them and I think it is down to personal preference...
I practice quite a lot these days and my playing as improved dramactically, so I would say just give it a bit more practice and see how you go.
