Longridge Band announce new signings

    Longridge Band would like to publicly announce the new singings of Chris Larder, Gareth Nelson, Rob Johnson, Tom Johnson and John Dickinson.

    Chris joins Longridge on Solo Euphonium. Chris is a very experienced player who played for Rothwell Temperance Band before moving to live in Morecambe. Chris has helped out the band on many occasions and accepted this position after the departure of Martin Bridges who left the band after Brass at the Guild Hall to play baritone for Leyland Band. The Longridge Band wishes Martin the best of luck for the future. On second baritone Longridge would like to welcome Gareth Nelson. Gareth was a member of Longridge Band before leaving to further his career. He has accepted this position after Blackpool areas after a short spell at Morecambe Band.
    Longridge cornet section have strengthened their team with Rob on second man down, Tom on soprano and John on repiano. These players all joined in January 2008 and come from Hesketh Band.

    Longridge welcome all these new players and look forward to great success in the future.

    With this strong line up of players Longridge are busy preparing for Tameside Contest 30th March and their annual Patron’s Concert on 29th March 2008 which is held at Longridge Civic Hall.
