I am slightly concerned at the current volume of usage of hair straighteners by ladies!! It seems that all self-respecting women use them every day to make their hair nice.

    Is this like "Laser-eye surgery"?

Do we know what harm they could cause down the line?
    Could all women go bald?

I dont use hair straighteners.... does this mean I'm not self-respecting?

...dont think the laser eye treatment will make women go bald, no :p

It's been known for ladies of a certain Hudds band to take straighteners to concerts! Maybe we shall see the long term effects soon!!

i dont use straighteners either, partly coz i cant be bothered and partly coz my hair is naturally straight. so i see no point in investing in some.

But the problem is, there's curly/wavy hair.....and then there's mine. Uncontrollable, large, manic, large, uncontrollable.

I love my hair straighteners. I don't care that they cost £100 - I'd buy another pair tomorrow if they broke(that's what credit cards are for...emergencies)!
(If there are side effects, hopefully there will be the technology to sort it out, I have faith in the scientists!)

Seriously, they put there head on the ironing board and off they go.
    Anyone else do this :!:
Surely this must do more damage :?:

Surely it wouldn't make ecconomic sense to dye that much of a floppy overhanging fringe ???

Have ventured out with my proper natural curly mop today for the first time in ages, and gave the straighteners a day off!! I think I'd need patches or something to wein me off the straighteners for good though, they should come with a warning...
