Having been to see Les Mis last night, thinking some music from it should be part of our summer programme this year, any suggestions on arrangements or specific tunes from the show suitable for a 4th section band please?

At Whitwell we have played 'I Dream A Dream' for many years.
It is arranged by Steve Cortland and published by Bernaerts. Audiences love it!

There is a Tenor Horn solo of Epiones Song, On My Own. Certainly doable by fourth section bands.

Not unless he arranges as Mike Forrest.

We publish two selections: Excerpts from Les Miserables arr Ron Glynn (At The End Of The Day, Bring Him Home and Do You Hear The People Sing) and Les Miserables Trilogy arr Matthew Hackett (Master Of The House, Red & Black and One Day More) each can be listened to via the scorch file on the website (www.mmi-music.co.uk) and costs £20 plus P&P

Pretty sure you can buy the Barry one though - must be two versions :)

There's a very good Cornet Solo of Stars available at Pennine Music, I believe.

Does anyone know if there are any choir and band arrangements in existence? We have a concert with York based choir Prima Vocal Ensemble later in the year and they are keen on performing this. Also can anyone recommend any other band and choir music ... nothing too high brow just good accessible music for the masses.
