Problem is mate because of our early start we could well be on our way home before the pubs open. Not happy about this!

Years since I've played at this contest, but I will be there guesting for the day with Kibworth. Look out for me in corner of the bar, or hanging around backstage in a lovely green tunic

Its a new one for me too. Quite looking forward to it....

Out of curiosity, are the bands that are playing in both the 1st section and the open playing the same piece in both? If so, maybe we should have entered both :)

Hopefully see some tMpers there ....

    Neil.

Although I'm not playing I'm planning to be there. Look out for me. BTW the nearest bar isn't at the venue, it's the 1852 pub over the road (ah the memories of mis-spent afternoons.....). I'll most probably be there for the first and open sections and I'm planning to get a few in (beers and bands  ) over the course of the afternoon.

Should be a good day, if you see me say hi wontya :D

You really do not want to see me first thing in the morning knowing I'm not going to a beer on contest day!

First time I'm going as well. Looking forward to it. Never done an own choice test piece contest before. What's the ale like in the pub?

That's what I like to see, asking about the really important issues...;)

There is a bar at the school, but I doubt it will be open as it is right outside the main hall. The pub is just over the road - a minutes walk away, its called the 1852. It's been a year or two (or three or four...) but it was a decent pint last time I was in there.
