I looking to rekindle my love of playing. Does anyone need a horn, flugel, backrow cornet or perucssionist for Lemington? Horn is my main instrument and I can play any seat up to and inc. championship. Cornet/Flugel - I think perhaps 2nd/3rd/4th section would be comfortable. Percussion - can hit timps and read tuned stuff (glock/xylo)...kit bit more of a challenge but not outside the realms of possibility! I live in London/Essex and can perhaps travel. Have just moved my registration to 4th section to allow me to get the maximum amount of depping in for the remainder of this year :)

Brunel Brass will be there, looking forward to our debut performance in Leamington. Would love to take you up on your offer Simon, we need a percussionist but alas you are too far away.

    Tubulation,

Closing date was 8th October. Wow! Thats a lot of money to go listen to bands. £16. Must be a fantastic venue (is there a Sunday lunch thrown in with the price). I certainly would not pay that sort of money to listen to bands play at a local association contest. I will warn off the band supporters (if we have any on the day).

I hope it's a mistake otherwise I can't see there being many in the audience!

Probably not a mistake. Theres a flower show on the Thursday before and thats £9 to get in.

I dont think you usually pay if you have a bandsmans playing pass.

Just to confirm, the entry price is £5 for the day.

We've been in contact with the Spa Centre about this error (and the error in all their upcoming events magazine which also stated £16) and they promised to correct this. Clearly they haven't done yet, so we will be chasing them again.

    Hi marc71178,

Many thanks for clarifying the cost of spectator tickets for the contest. Would you be able to post a list of the competing bands on this thread? Please!!!
