Cleveland based Langbaurgh Brass are to be known as the North Skelton Band from October 1st.
The band was originally formed in 1983 as a junior band for the original North Skelton band who went on to become British Steel Teesside band.
As this band now no longer exists and the band now rehearse in the old bandroom which goes back to the mining days of the village it was decided to re-name the band.
This decision also coincides with the return of our former conductor Tim Oldroyd who was with the band for many years and contributed towards its past success
