    Just wondered if anyone was going to this at the weekend? I'm off up there this afternoon as I'm going up with Freck, but for once not playing! :D Just going to *ahem* "listen to bands" :guiness

    2nd Whitburn
    3rd Fishburn
    4th Unison Kinneil

    Well done to Kirky - it was a close run thing!

    Best Instrumentalist - Alan Wardrope (Kirkintilloch)
    Best Euphonium - Unison Kinneil

    Best 1st Section Band - Johnstone Silver
    Best 2nd Section Band - Tullis Russell
    Highest placed Ayrshire Band - Kilmarnock Concert Brass

    Another top day at Troon!

    Well done to the Dalmellington band for hosting another fab contest. Great venue quality bands and a great day out! Congratulations to Craig Anderson first contest win with Kirkie.
    Maybe it would be agood idea to bring back on of the themed contests for next year? The first year everyone had to play a Vinter test piece which was fab! What about a Wilby or Sparke test piece for next year?? :?:
