Unfortunately Crofton Silver have had to withdraw from the contest.

Pleased to say one of our reserve bands has stepped into the breach.

Thanks to Huddersfield and Ripponden Band for coming at short notice - look forward to welcoming you next Sunday. :)

A well deserved win for Trinity Girls, no doubt they were the best band. This time the adjudicator got it right.

A very big thank you to the organisers this was a very well run contest and even finished early. Pity about the weather, hope to attend again next year

Had a great day at the contest apart from the variable weather, the band just doesnt seem to settle at this contest not sure why but best hymn was a pleasant surprise.

    We played

Tenderley - sop solo John Waining
    The Cossack - March
part of Variations on Laudate Dominium (Hymn)

the contest provides for cash prizes in solo, hymn and march and its a real difficult one to fit in to the 20 minute start to finish time slot. However there was some varied and interesting programmes provided.

Congratulations to the bands in the prizes and heard all but the last 2 as had to get off to another outdoor event in the evening (that got rained off so moved indoors).

It is a very well run and relaxed contest shame we havent had the best of the weather there for the last two years - the adjudicators "shelter" nearly blew away at one bit.
