    3. Dinnington Colliery

    2. Carlton Training Band

    I heard both Carlton and Dinnington and thought the bands played well. Congrats to both the training bands as it was the first contest for both bands! I thought they both did really well :tup

    Very good contest fully enjoyed the day out. I think Sparkly enjoyed being back in the Nottinghamshire area!!!

    yeah great day out, our training band were dead chuffed at winning and the senior band were delighted at winning the "" Best Entertainments Band "

    Thanks for a good day Melanie. Just one thing to add - I thought the French swing band were really good as well. Shame I was driving though!

    We (Carlton Brass) played:

    The Contestor
    Singing in the Rain by A Fernie
    Prelude for a Solemn Occasion by A Fernie

    We would have played four Alan Fernies but we replaced Galop with The Contestor so we had a bona fida march in there ;)
