Julie and me won't be there, but have a good day. It is a lovely day out, fabulous contest, especially if the weather is nice.

Tehe it was my first contest...wonder it didn't put me off for life though, the band got told to set off marching and half way through got told to go back to the start because the other band hadn't finished! I was nervous enough as it was!

You march down the street towards the square, and play a hymn tune and a test piece on the stage. Hopefully we'll have learned the test piece by then!

Better get practising those semi quavers then  So glad i don't play euph or cornet or solo horn or any other instrument with hard stuff. Do the adjudicators have a box? Do you play the test piece an hymn straight after doing the march?

Good contest that, remember my sister winning the Bill Dobbin soloist trophy there some years ago.
