With front row player Randi Holm returning to Manger Musikklag in Norway in the next few weeks after her very successful time in Scotland, Kingdom Brass will shortly have a vacancy for a first class front row or repiano cornet player. Based in Fife, with excellent road and rail links from Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee and Glasgow, the band currently has players travelling from all those areas. Firmly established as one of Scotland's top bands (with seven top five finishes at the Scottish Championships in the past eight years), Kingdom Brass currently sits second in the Scottish Band of the Year table, third in the Scottish ranking table and fourth Scottish band in the 4br world rankings ( as at 13/06/08 ). One of the best attended bands in Scotland, Kingdom always has an exciting schedule of contest and concert work, including performing at the Scottish Open contest later in the year, where 'St Magnus' is the set testpiece. Much of that success is down to the bands principal conductor, Craig Anderson. The band has undertaken three European tours in the past six years, with related radio and television appearances, and has plans to continue this in the future. Anyone interested in the vacant position can contact me through a message here in strictest confidence.
