Very sad to hear of the death on 18th October of Kenneth Dennison at the age of 86.

Many will know of Ken through his long history of top class banding with Fairy's, City of Coventry & St. Austell, his work with the old Federation of Brass bands or scaba.
I knew Ken though as a friend and mentor - many a time, members of bands I have conducted have said "I can hear Ken saying that" and any success I have had as a conductor is a direct result of some 20 years of mentoring and friendship. It was an honour to be Resident Conductor at Friday Ad Brass whilst he was MD there and also his invaluable support during my tenure at Mid Sussex Brass.
The banding world has lost another of its greats.

I also had the great pleasure if knowing and playing under the baton of this gentleman of the brass band world…. Another great now playing in the ensemble on gods right hand side… Mr D, never forgotten….
