I'm a self confessed Kareoke Queen at my local pub. I absolutely love it!!

I'm plesently supprised how good I am and I'm getting better. Not saying I am X factor winner material but I do believe all us musicans are not be as bad as you think as we have an ear for music and tuning.

So go on give it a go this weekend and what would you sing??

    I sing alsorts on Karaoke...

Whenever there is a band social (Principal Euph has his own gear) they always insist I sing a certain song...

The one time I have done it I was rip-roaring drunk and the video footage proves that I'm not as good as I think I am after a few drinks!

That disaster was 'Brown Eyed Girl', but next time (when I'm sober), I shall see if Duffy's 'Mercy' is on the books!

    Mine are
Thats what friends are for - Dionne Warwick
    Rotterdam - Beautiful South
    Crazy - Patsy Cline
Top of the World - Carpenters

But I do get bored and sing other random songs, I get better after a few beers!

One of the funniest Karaokes I ever saw was Anita and Alan Morrison singing "Tragedy" !!!
    Like 2 squawking cats! Brilliant.

I am also a Karaoke Queen, I used to work in a bar and every time i did a shift my partner (a DJ) brought his gear up. My boss used to cover me whilst i sang, it turned in to a mike night really with a few customers inbetween.

    My repertoir included -

    Black Velvet (most popular request)
    Walking in Memphis
    Big Mammas song - Chicago
    Most Carpenters songs
    These Boots
    Paradise by the dashboard light
    Les Mis.

That geeky enough????? :tup Oh an i have signed up for Xfactor too

I will sing, but only if too drunk to care!

We have a karaoke at the band's New Year party, and let's jiust say that there's a lot of "setting up" going on............I still shudder at the memory of the MD ( now a retired gentleman) and myself (not exactly a youngster any more) being "invited" to perform the Cheeky Girls' "touch my bum" a couple of years back..........

The bloke who managed my local had his own kareoke system in the pub and we have kareoke every friday and saturday and other nights if no one was in. He left to go to a pub in sheffield where his family was from> Went to visit before christmas and I was still singing kareoke till 6 in the morning. I was told then to go to bed, but i was singing alsorts of random stupid songs!!
  18. Karaoke is responsible for all these whinging and whining wannabees on the sob story factor or x factor as its commonly known, all Karaoke machines should be thrown on to a bonfire and torched!!! the japanese have had some great inventions over the years, this not being one of them!!
