I might be getting a new cornet... it's a Jupiter cornet and it's a 520. I don't know much else about it. I'm going to try it before I buy it.

Does anyone have an opinion of Jupiter cornets? I know it's not exactly a pro-level cornet but I don't have enough money for a good one and I'd rather save up for trumpet related gear!

Basically, is a Jupiter cornet good enough for a bog standard rep player with a bog standard band?

Not sure about the actual cornet itself, but the cleaning cloth you get with them is fantastic...it's worth buying a jupiter cornet just for the cloth!! :p

In all seriousness though, I've never actually played a jupiter, but they are generally thought of as beginner models, but I'm sure that the higher end ones are decent enough...plus, to be perfectely honest, you could give Wynton Marsalis the worst cornet in the world, and I'm sure he could make it sound like the best ;)
