    I've tried one and they are surprisingly good for the money.

    The SW models have a good reputation and you will probably struggle to find anything else as good for the money. I haven't tried the 271 but have played the 371 and the difference between this and top of the range cornets is not significant considering the JP costs a lot less.

    As with any instrument though it is worth trying before you buy.

    The 271 is a good clean blowing cornet that is aided by the 1st and 3rd valve triggers, I would say this though because I'm selling one that belonged to my son.

    Its only 10 months old and is in mint condition apart from a small ding on the main tuning slide. Will take £200 for it which is half of the RRP.
