Hello, has any one got any experience on the JP baritones, particularly the JP373 Sterling. I currently play on an Elkhart (Bach) 100. It seems fine, but I am currently studying for grade 6 and wonder if I should upgrade. Any feedback gratefully received.

Hi! I have one of these Baritones - and I must say it is excellent!
Don't get me wrong, a Besson has a sharper sound, but overall do you really want to be spending £3000+?
I love my 373S so much - I have recommended John Packer to everyone I have met...
Customer service is second to none, especially Steve and the workshop team.
All I have done to my bari is i have changed the mouthpiece to a Denis Wick Ultra, but it was more for personal tone, rather than instrument tone.

if you need any more praise, just ask! :D

Thanks for the feedback P_S_Price and Mark_Powell. I thought no one would ever respond!. I might try and get down to JP in Taunton in the New Year. Do you know any one in the North who stocks JP?.....Happy Christmas...

Hi, has anyone played or have experience with the next model down, the 273 compensating baritone? Other than the Sterling lead pipe, any other differences?

    Thanks for your help!
