I thought I didn't really like James Morrison - the jazz and blues is always impressive but when I've seen him live then instrument swapping got in the way for me and seemed a bit show-offy.

So, when his gospel cd appeared at home I was prepared to be unimpressed. How wrong could I be!! From blues treatments of old favourites to two new songs written by James and sung by two fantastic vocalists, this recording just oozes quality. As well as writing or arranging most of the tracks, James plays trumpets, flugel, trombone, saxes, piano AND organ! It doesn't get in the way, and if I was that kind of musician then I guess I'd be showing off too! ;)
