  1. just wondered what your favourite 007 songs are

if you can't remember all of them then here they are:

    die another day
    the world is not enough
    tomorrow never dies
    goldeneye
    licence to kill
    the living daylights
    a view to a kill
    never say never again
    octopussy (all time high)
    for your eyes only
    moonraker
the spy who loved me (nobody does it better)
the man with the golden gun
    live and let die
    diamonds are forever
    on her majesty's secret service
    you only live twice
    thunderball
    goldfinger
    from russia with love
    dr. no

i'd say my favourites are licence to kill, the world is not enough, and for your eyes only

im not too keen on the living daylights, the man with the golden gun, and thunderball

Was there music called 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'? Mustn't have been very memorable if so! I remember the Louis Armstrong 'We Have All the Time in the World' from that one too, I think?

The title music for "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", like the title music for "Dr. No", was purely instrumental. I have a vague memory from seeing a TV documentary about John Barry that lyrics were written for it, but they couldn't get a singer. "We have all the time in the world" sung by Louis Armstrong, was used in that film.

    My own favourites are:

Goldfinger (the quintessential Bond song - those great opening chords, the trumpets, Shirley Bassey)

    Diamonds are Forever

    You only live Twice

    From Russia with Love

The Man with the Golden Gun

Live and Let Die for me... it's a classic, and I used to have it as a trombone solo which was great fun when I was about 14... ah the happy memories...

If you're really sad you can fill in the huge gaps in my knowledge of James Bond Theme Singers...have realised I'm not quite as sad as I thought.
