I've noticed it a few times now in conversations with people, that they seem to add "like" on to the end of a sentence! Is this a typically Northern thing?! (i could be way off track here, so bear in mind that even Bristol is north of me!!)
I see, like! And i also noticed "Mega" seems to be used a lot within the Yorkshire Vocab, west yorkshire in particular?
mega isnt just yorkshire. Been pioneering a return of the word for a long time now just cos its mega like.
Some blokes I drink with saw me on Sky Sports News the other day, said im a pure Manc, I use a lot of localisms and always say "without a doubt" in a skanky accent... I hate my voice...
it was directed at the Emley lot, but obviously they don't realise they are doing it and therefore haven't picked up on it yet!
It started with Ploughboy saying it a lot and its spread, i know i find myself saying it reather a lot now. Still i thinks its better than like...like.
I say like a lot  and I'm definately not from the north! well I'm from North Devon but that doesn't count like! I get told to stop saying like aswell
HA! I do say like but not that often, or if I do I don't notice it. I would have thought "like" would have been more associated with scousers
