Invitation to London Metropolitan Brass Quintet Workshop: Sat 7 June 2014, London N14

  1. London Metropolitan Brass Quintet are running a brass consort workshop for North London Brass Members, Staff and Friends on Saturday 7 June 2014, 10.30am to 1.30pm at Oakwood Baptist Church, Merrivale, Southgate, London N14 4TE (close by Oakwood Underground Station, Piccadilly Line).

    LMBQ are a superb, professional, classical brass ensemble led by Enfield-based tuba player Mark Grainger and trombonist Billy Yates. Info at

    A number of places will be open to non-NLB Members and so, if you would like to participate, please let us know asap. There is no cost for attending this excellent educational event, which is suitable for brass players of all levels and experience.

    Workshop instrumentation can include cornet/trumpet, flugelhorn, tenor horn, french horn, baritone, trombone, euphonium, Eb and Bb basses, but it's important for us to know which instruments to cater for in advance, so please give us as much notice as possible if you wish to attend.

    There will also be an opportunity on the same afternoon for players to demonstrate their new ensemble skills at Oakwood Baptist Church's Community Open Day (details tbc).
