I played at the Royal Albert Hall last November with my school Orchestra. We played Malcolm Arnolds Little suite No 1 and Pomp and Circumstance. At the end the fisrt and second cornet parts split into these really high semiquaver runs for around eight bars then the pause on the last note. The firworks were so loud and shot out so much confettl type things that we couldnt see the conductor!:D

It was amazing I hope I can go and do it again sometime!

Pyrotechnics are great fun. Personal favourite is always the cannons or a smoke machine which is entrusted to a less than reliable perc player.
