In Memory - 30 years on

    If you have a Concert this weekend how about incouding a tune from "Oliver" in memory of the musicians from the Fist Battalion Royal Green Jackets who died in the Regents Park bombing 30 years ago today.
    I was on another London bandstand at the time - it could so easily have been different.
    They were playing a selection from Oliver when the bomb went off.

    30 years? I'm getting old. Tough times, I responded to too many bombings back in those days. Having to shoot injured horses in the street at one.

    How time flies - I was a pupil at KH with one of those killed and Dave Little, the MD, was a student bandmaster at the same time. If you read this Dave, I trust you are well.
