Following on from KMJ Recording's excellent suggestion of a band compilation CD, I'm going to do the same with a brass Christmas CD, but including brass ensemble as well as band stuff. Most of this comes from previously recorded material! In the case of the PJBE stuff, they appeared originally on an LP of theirs entitled 'Noel' but have since been included on compilation CDs

Here's my list, in no particular track order.

O Come All Ye Faithful (Wade arr. Rutter as recorded by the PJBE). One of the best fanfares I've ever heard kick this arrangement off.

We Three Kings (Hopkins arr. Iveson. Yup, as recorded by the PJBE). Almost a 'symphonic picture' type arrangement.

Winter from The Four Seasons (Vivaldi arr. Harvey - recorded by London Brass)

A Christmas Fantasy (Gordon Langford - Black Dyke & Huddersfield Choral Society)

    Gaudete (arr. Rodney Newton)

Nun Seid Ihr Wohl Gerochen from Christmas Oratorio (Bach arr. Peter Reeve - PJBE)

Who Is He (arr. Richard Phillips)

Wassail Song (arr. Chris Hazell, I think. - PJBE)

    The Snowman (Blake arr. Sparke)

Festive Cheer (arr. Roger Harvey - London Brass)

Quite a short CD, but one I'd hit 'repeat' on gladly!
