Iain Mcknight has left the Lostock Hall Band after a successfull nine months at the helm. Iain stated to the band that travelling times from Manchester to Lostock Hall, at a time when studies for a teaching course where about to begin, where too long and that the much nearer Flixton band had offered him a position as MD. The band fully accepted his reasons for leaving and would like to wish him good look with his career in teaching and also with the Flixton band. (Our loss is their gain). The band would also like to thank him for the last nine months, which has seen us progress musically thanks to his expertise, and leave us in a strong position for the forthcoming contest season. At his last concert on Sunday the band chairperson, Sarah Gardner, presented Iain with a small gift of apprieciation and wished him well for the furure.
The post of MD at Lostock will be advertised shortly, to begin after the Fleetwood contest in October.
