...that noone has made a recording of Divertimento For Brass!!!!

My band has chosen this glorious piece of music to play as our D grade own choice at the Queensland Band Championships in 8 weeks time. It is such an inspiring work!

Yet when I contacted my local brass supplier for a possible recording of the piece (I like to get inspired), he did not know of any recordings.

So, I thanked God above for the heavenly centre for information (aka www.themouthpiece.com) and got in touch with the composer of this envigorationg composition - Mr Darrol Barry.

First, let me just say my band thought I was daft when I said "I spoke to Darrol Barry and he said....." Knowing the composer of your piece is not as common in Australia.

Anyway, back to my story -
Darrol was very kind to get back to me within a few hours (had he been in my time zone, he may have been quicker!) and told me the shocking news.

    So why not????????

Would a band LIKE to make a recording???????

Are there any more brilliant pieces without a recorded performance???
