Household Division (Guards) Bands Auditions

    Due to the positive response to the Open Days planned for 30th & 31st January 2008 it has now been decided to make them into audition days.

    The audition process will consist of:
    Performance of two contrasting pieces, sight reading, scales & arpeggios, a theory paper and an aural assessment.

    Vacancies currently exist in the following Corps of Army Music bands:
    Life Guards, Blues and Royals, Grenadier Guards,
    Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards & Welsh Guards.

    Could be a tad premature if people turn up for an audition before calling in at the Armed Forces Careers Office for a little chat.

    They may not know what the Armed Forces are all about:wink:

    Following the success of the January auditions the Bands of The Household Division (Guards Bands) are holding two more audition days on 24-25th July 2008 in London.

    The audition process will consist of:
    Performance of two contrasting pieces, sight reading, scales & arpeggios, a theory paper and an aural assessment.

    Vacancies currently exist in the following Corps of Army Music bands:
    Life Guards, Blues and Royals, Grenadier Guards,
    Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards & Welsh Guards.

    State Bands Auditions 2009

    The Corps of Army Music State Bands (Household Cavalry, Royal Artillery & Foot Guards) will be holding Open/Audition days on 28-29th January 2009 in London.

    The audition process will consist of:
    Performance of two contrasting pieces (without accompaniment), sight reading, scales & arpeggios, a theory paper and an aural assessment.
