The HMS Collingwood Volunteer Band is looking for some tuba players! The band is a symphonic wind band that is currently the Best Band in the Royal Navy Volunteer Band Association.

The band has a good mix of concerts and other engagements in support of the Royal Navy. Currently the band has over 40 players regularly attending rehearsals but due to one of our regular tuba players being away at sea the band could do with an extra one to help with the balance of the band.

Don't worry if you can't read bass clef as music can be transposed by the really friendly Bandmaster (me!)

Any other brass/woodwind or percussion players would be made most welcome. Rehearsals are Monday evenings between 7.15pm and 9.30pm followed by a sociable trip to the pub. Instruments and uniform are provided and there is no cost involved to individual at all. You don't have to be part of the Royal Navy or be in the military to join as many of the members are civilians from the local area, although some travel from Surrey to come to band.
