  1. Hi im going to hisaronu in turkey on the 10th of august for o weeks.
    I've been told by many people not to take their currency and to only take euros and sterling. is this correct? Has anyone been?

    hope to here frm someone soon cheers

    My son is on his way back from Turkey after a 10 day break. He took sterling, euros and Turkish lira. I'll let you know how he got on when he gets home tomorrow.

    I thought Hisaronu was a form of Japanese poetry. Bit like Haiku only more complicated.
    5 lines and 37 syllables and must contain the word origami. Away you go.

    When in Turkey last year
    I used various monies,
    And my friends used even more types.
    Dollars, pounds and euros were spent;
    Lira were for origami.

    Son says everything is priced in Turkish Lira but they let you pay in anything
