My son has been asked to play a solo on his tenor horn in his school concert next week.

Does anyone have any idea of a simple carol as a tenor horn solo with piano accomp? Something like Away In a Manger or Silent Night would do I guess!

He did pass his Grade 3 on cornet last year, but has just moved over to tenor horn recently, and with only a week to go till the concert I don't want anything too taxing!

    Thanks.

Would it be possible for the pianist to improvise? Then you could find a sutible carol from maybe the red carol book, for example, and use that?
