    Hi

Does anyone know if this piece is availeble at any publishers ????
Or how I can get it...

    Toru Takemitsu´s "Gardenrain"

The piece was played by Grimethorpe & Elgar Howarth in the 70s.....

It was only rediscovered (i.e., it was lost) in recent years and I believe Ray Farr or Elgar Howarth has the manuscript. It wasn't published as far as I know.

    From 4baresrest:
From this, it looks as if the band version may be lost. There are scores available of the brass ensemble version, but I've not found any parts either on sale or for hire.

Edit: just read brassneck's post, so maybe it was found after all!!!

(It was ... and it was documented somewhere on 4BR ... I brought the Grimethorpe Special album to the attention of 4BR in 2001 when they wanted readers to submit favourite vinyl recordings of the past!)

It is possible to buy a study/pocket score (e.g., here) but parts have to be hired directly from publishers Editions Salabert (on page 111 of the .pdf catalogue)

Grimethorpe played the band version of this PJBE original at the RNCM Festival two or three years ago - so yes, the music does appear to have been located.

    Grimey do have it.
It was played off m/s parts at the RNCM a couple of years ago.
Try Grimey website for contact ?
