No. 2: That looks like a baritone you're holding in the photo, so... who's your "best ever" bari player and why?

Hey, good choice of horn! (lets start a Maestros are better than Sovs club!)

I know there's other threads about best horn players & solos, but how about best parts? I think my all time fave is solo horn for Ravenswood. Essence of Time is up there too.

I only moved onto the horn 4 months ago so am looking forward to all the new parts......quite exciting.
Yes I agree about the maestro....the only sovereign I liked was one of the bands really old ones. You can keep the new ones. Also tried the courtois because I loved the flugel but didn't care for the horn at all.

Now you will find out how old I am.
I started the horn at the end of June but started playing cornet in 1964 aghhhhh......long long time ago.

Yes I was once principal cornet in the Bon Accrd Silver Band in Aberdeen and I used to conduct Turriff Silver Band and the Aberdeenshire Youth Brass Band. Not been asked to dep for any bands....too far North and the local bands .........well

    Hi Moira

Don't know if you remember me, Suzanne Cherrington :?:

Used to play solo trom with Arbroath Instrumental, used to help Bon Accord on a few occasions, studied at Aberdeen college for two years (1992 - 1994) etc etc

This is quite a few years ago so you probably don't have the foggiest!!!

Glad to see you are well though!!
