No, but I know his brother Tar... he's covered for me on a few occassions...
(right that's it.... no more...)
Damn! Beat me to it on that gag! ;-)
He conducts my band and we have been using that one on him for years! Its an oldie but a goodie!
yeah mark i already know that. I come and play repiano for hawthorn at rehearsals and concerts, i sit right next to u!!!!!
I luv that joke, like mark said and oldie but a goodie!!!!!!
But seriously do u guys actually know him???
I played at Hammonds in 1982/3 when Tom was principal cornet (just before he emigrated to Oz). Previously he was principal cornet at Grimethorpe.
He was superb at triple tonguing, probably the best I've ever heard.
He hardly picks up a cornet any more but he can still do it all! Amazing technique and control.
A very good band trainer too
he's very good at remembering what pages exercises are from the arban!!!!! He great at triple and double tounging!!!! He brings the best out of ppl. I mean he made me work really hard on thursday night by getting me really upset, he said i played like a girl, i hate that!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rubbish - I played under him for 3 years with Granite City Brass. We used to come in and he'd be playing every week. Knew Arban exercises off-by-heart
He was solo cornet at Grimethorpe during my last spell there, before Alan Morrison I think, remember me to him will you please?
