The PolySteel Band have announced with regret that it
has amicably parted company with its musical director,
    Philip Harper.

The partnership of Philip Harper and the PolySteel
Band has brought excitement to the brass band stage
for over seven years. Philip's stunning arrangements
and compositions enabled the band to become one of the
best entertainments bands in the UK. Visual and
innovative programmes were developed that produced
    many outstanding performances.

Under Philip's guidance the band have won the Butlins
    Mineworkers Championship, Yeovil Entertainments
Contest, the West of England Area, the Grand Shield
and had top three finishes at the All England Masters
    and the English Nationals.

A spokesman for PolySteel Band stated: "The band have
had a fantastic seven years under Philip's guidance and
would like to thank him for all his hard work and hope
to work with him again in the future."

Im really sorry to hear that an excellent partnership has come to an end. Having worked with both parties, I would like to wish them both, the very best in the future. Phillip is an excellent conductor to work under and I enjoyed his work ethic and style very much. His program choices were second to none as well when it came to entertainment. Good luck to all at the band as well. I miss you guys! A better set of people I could wish to meet!

Wow, that is some news. I wish Philip and the band well for the future. The long journey up to rehearsal was always worth it. What a fantastic bunch, I do miss it.

A little shocked at first however a change may do any band good.

I was shocked to read this but I guess there must've been reasons. All the best for the band with whoever you have taking you and also all the best to Phil. I'm really grateful for the time I spent with the band last year and have some great memories.
