I hope you've got a music license organised (which all live music venues have to have): I'd hate for all the folk playing to get into trouble...

I can't imagine that Trafalgar Square has a permanent one....

I sent an email with my details on Wednesday and I haven't heard a thing. They obviously don't want players that urgently!! Wish I hadn't bothered!

On the other hand, I sent mine and have had several email conversations with them
about the day... so I'll be there and looking out for fellow tMP-ers..

Got my train tickets yesterday so I'll be there - not that I know any other
    tMP'ers by sight :)

Good to see some basses coming, I would think a lot of people would have
been put off by the thought of dragging a huge wheeled case around the
    streets of London :)

    Jim,

Is there any more details as there seems to be none forthcoming, coming from oldham it is a fair trek, we all need to know the full details.

Was a laugh and seemed to go ok - although the confusion during organisation continued - 5 of us in bedford had 2 different buses show up for us....

anybody know when or if it'll be shown - i can find no reference to it anywhere...

It was a very enjoyable day out for me, but I feel for the poor latecomers who
turned up for the last 10 mins of the performance and missed out on a lot!

    Wait a minute, wasn't that Birmingham ? ;)

Incidentally, I think Nigel Horne should be congratulated. It can't have
been easy to arrange the music not knowing what the final composition
of the band would be, or their skill level.

He did a fine job with it, and with the conducting, even if we couldn't
hear a word he said (even with the megaphone!)

It was on, but the band footage was disappointing. Incredible that we could have
spent so long on it, and the PR company so much money on it, for a scant 10s
    of TV coverage !

A great fun day out, and really glad to have met so many nice people. I managed to miss the Ch5 news (but didn't miss much, it seems). There's a longish clip with poor video but reasonable sound quality on Media Guardian site: http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/mediamonkey/
    (needs Quicktime to view it).

I have to admit to be the one wearing the baritone rather than playing, it seemed a good idea at the time !!!
