    Here are the results of the Hardraw Scar Contest as far as I have been told.

    1st Overall Marsden ( Glyn Williams) with 286 points

    2nd Overall Broughtons Brass 285

    3rd Overall Wetherby Silver

    Best ungraded band Elland Silver Youth
    2nd Leyburn

    Best 4th section band Friendly
    2nd Ireland Colliery

    Best Third Section band Stape Silver

    Best 2nd Section band Cockerton Silver

    Open Hymn Tune Contest Marsden

    Open March Contest. Marsden

    Best performance in the Hymn tune by an unregistered band. £50 and the
    Geoffrey Evison Memorial Trophy with 66 points Elland Youth

    Best performance in the selection by an unregistered band. Elland Youth

    Best Soloist Percussionist (Wetherby)

    The conductor of the winning band Mr Glyn Williams was presented with an Engraved Tankard.

    I have not got all the points yet as I was playing at Harrogate

    Yep, a great (if wet) weekend, Marsden were excellent well done, It was a good day all round, the pub was like a bomb site tho! Work been done throughout meant plaster, live wires allsorts!! Still beer was ok, a little rough this morning!

    Yep, still a grand day out, despite the weather - good scenery, good fish and chips and [mustn't forget] v. good music...

    Well done also to the Youth Band from Elland, looks like they did well :D
