The Grimethorpe Colliery Band will be presenting two concerts entitled "The Story of Maria Von Trapp" on the weekend of 28th/29th March.

These special events will feature the music of Strauss, Mendelsohn and Rossini leading to a 1 hour theatre production featuring the renowned Norwegian actress, Camilla Belsvik and a 150 strong children's choir.

Originally performed by the Bergen Symphony orchestra, these concerts will be special events in the busy Grimethorpe schedule.

For further details and to book tickets visit either www.thesagegateshead.org for the Saturday event or www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk for the Sunday event.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Looking forward to seeing the show at the Sage.

We've already been promoting the show on Radio Teesdale - a three minute promo went out again on Drivetime at 5pm tonight. Let's hope for a full house.

    Hope to see you there,

    Cheers,
    Michael

I did the same production with Stavanger Brass Band and Alan W in a production in 2007/08. A very good show. Hopefully you'll get more of a turn out than what we managed at the time.

All the best for the show!

A JOYOUS NIGHT AT THE SAGE - DON'T MISS MANCHESTER (Sunday 29 March)

The concert by Grimethorpe and the Story of Maria von Trapp at the Sage was an absolute pleasure.

The band played magnificently (as usual) and the young singers from Hemsworth College sang their hearts out to the great joy of the audience. There was a standing ovation at the end.

    TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR MANCHESTER
If you can get to the Bridgewater Hall tonight (6pm), you'll have an evening to remember.

    Congratulations to all concerned.
