Do you have celebrity cookbooks gathering dust on our shelves, unopened, unloved and full of recipes that we’d never want to cook?

As part of the second series of the F Word, Gordon Ramsay wants to do the nation a favour by ridding people of their celebrity cookbook clutter. He's launching a Celebrity Cookbook Amnesty!!

I thought it was a brilliant idea  Has anyone got a cook book they want to get rid off? if so which one and why?. Also if you could, which Celebrity Chef would you want to get rid of all together? ;)

Why is Ramsay himself not on the list?

I'd happily get rid of Ainsley - if I had any of his books!

Yes he has we've got one of them Kitchen Heaven and to be honest it's very good!
I would happily burn Ainsley's books as I think he's more interested in his image rather than food.
One man's books I would never burn is Rick Stein, I would fight someone to the death to protect his books.

He's brought out a new book to go with this series.
I wonder how many of those will be sent into his amnesty!!

A house I used to rent had the most astounding collection of cookery books (recipe for dolphin, anyone?) but my favourite one which I've never seen anywhere since was called something like Saucy Sauces and was (naturally) recipes for wonderful sauces interspersed with Edwardian porn. Hysterical. Never dared cook from it in case anyone saw me.
Have no celebrity cookbooks apart from Delia's Red Nose Cookbook. Don't believe in em. The only worthwhile celebrity cooks are the Two Fat Ladies. Clarissa Dickson-Wright is my heroine. Watching that woman joint a hare is an education in itself.

I'm with you on that one. I'm not a great lover of fish which obviously is his main claim to fame, but I love his passion for good food. His food heroes programme is one of my all-time favourites!
